About Us

The Management Committee of APFACTS is made up of nominated representatives from member schools. The Management Committee meets monthly at our APFACTS offices in Weston.

 George Gamkrelidze

President ( 2011 - current). George has been the past Vice President ( 2009 - 2011) and delegate from Radford College since 2002. George is Chair of the APFACTS Policy Committee and represents APFACTS on NGSEC, the Australian Parents Council (APC) and ACT School Sports Management Committee.Email: ggamkrelidze@apfacts.org.au

Jayne Francis

Co Vice President ( 2011 - current) and delegate from Canberra Church of England Girls Grammar School since 2011. Jayne represents APFACTS on the ACT Independent Schools Association (AIS) and Australian Parents Council (APC). Email: jfrancis@apfacts.org.au  
 

Charuni Weerasooriya

Co Vice President ( 2011 - current) and delegate from Radford College since 2010. Charuni is Chair of the APFACTS Marketing Committee and represents APFACTS on theACT Curriculum Taskforce and ACT Pathways Planning Action Group. Email: cweerasooriya@apfacts.org.au  

Peter Murray

Treasurer ( 2011- current) and co-delegate from Darramalan College since 2011. Peter was the previous delegate from  Emmaus Christian School ( 2009 - 2011). Email: pmurray@apfacts.org.au

Kirsten Wilkinson

Secretary (2003 – current) and delegate from St Michael's, Kaleen Primary School (2001- 2006) and St Francis Xavier College, Florey (2005 -2011). Kirsten represents APFACTS on the Board of Secondary Studies (BSSS) and the ACT Animal Ethics Committee. Email: kwilkinson@apfacts.org.au

Past President (1997–1998), past Treasurer (2000-2009) and member of the Executive committee (1993-2009) representing, first, St Monica's Primary School P&F, Evatt (1993-2003), later, Merici College P&F, Braddon (2000-2005), and, currently, Daramalan College P&F, Dickson (2002-2011).
